Why ProEMPT

ProEMPT Technology was designed with the flexibility to address the many variations that may arise in responding to emergency situations at every level. As such, ProEMPT empowers emergency managers by enabling them to deploy customized emergency response processes that match the exact steps to be taken in addressing whatever challenges that may arise on a daily basis.

Placing this powerful flexibility at the fingertips of the emergency experts themselves positions ProEMPT as an indispensable tool for effectively assisting emergency response teams during a crisis situation.

How it Works

ProEMPT allows emergency management personnel to specify the actions they expect from their first responders in a given situation. This exclusive feature of allowing Emergency Managers to define and automate their response processes makes it easy for them to specify a unique process for each and every scenario that they are expected to be prepared to handle.

By providing the emergency response experts with the ability to customize their response activities, they can easily determine the specific logic and process flows that they want to see followed in responding to a given situation. Once the process is activated, the system will automatically seek the most effective way(s) to accomplish the desired result by coordinating all available emergency personnel in responding to the current situation(s).

Incorporating the expertise of the emergency managers with this intelligent goal-seeking technology combines hands-on experience with up-to-the-minute data that is maintained and distributed by the system. The system is configured to accept input from various sources (NWS, Federal, State & local agencies, etc.) and then incorporate and distribute that information according to the emergency managers directives.

Authoring Tools

ProEMPT includes a set of authoring tools used to customize emergency response processes to meet the needs of local emergency managers. In addition to customizing the emergency response processes directly, the tools may also be used to monitor external data sources, define reports, and administer every aspect of the system.

The Process Author tool is used to customize Emergency Response Processes. It allows the response expert to customize any and all aspects of how to properly respond to a given emergency situation. Whether it's specifying a certain response team, prioritizing the mode of contact, determining the availability of requested resources, or predetermining contingency plans when the unexpected occurs, the process authoring tool provides an easy-to-use interface for customizing all this and more.

The View Author allows users to view reports based on the activities of currently active and/or completed processes. The Data Source author is often used in conjunction with the View Author to further define and segment the availability of data to report writers based on data sensitivity and other security and usability-related issues.

The Admin tool is used to define the users, roles, and communities where processes may be activated.
